What we do

Employee surveys

ETS advises a number of the leading companies on employee surveys, including G4S – the world’s third-largest private sector employer, ITV and Thomas Cook. We help large and small companies to achieve great results by creating a new programme from the ground up or improving your existing programme.

Our team of experienced business psychologists offer expert consultancy and work with you to understand your business context and engagement objectives.

This enables our HR technologists to build a bespoke employee survey tool that fits your needs. We create ‘pulse’, joiner and leaver and employee engagement surveys.

In the video (above), Phil Barnfather, Head of Learning and Development at Thomas Cook, talks about the how ETS helped them deliver a successful employee engagement programme.

How ETS can help you engage employees

Here’s an insight into how we work and how ETS can help you – with expert consultancy:

  • ETS business psychologists will advise on how best to design and deploy surveys to get the best response to the right questions.
  • We recommend how to interpret the results based on statistics and your business context.
  • We help you to drive change using our unique action planning methods.

And with intuitive bespoke systems and advanced reporting:

  • ETS systems make it easy to complete a staff survey (either online or on paper forms).
  • Our reporting allows detailed analysis of results and comparison with historical and benchmark data.
  • Our systems are so easy and powerful that our clients give managers the tool to use the results themselves (a great way to get buy-in from them for action planning).

Action planning to deliver meaningful change

Action planning process

Our original HR insight paper – How to maximise survey success through action planning – gives companies an insight into action planning on surveys.

Companies make a significant investment in employee surveys but aren’t currently maximising the survey’s value. They report that motivating the business to take effective action on survey results is the biggest employee engagement challenge. This is crucial as effective action planning is the key to implementing business change that will improve results.

ETS has outlined four key themes for action planning, shown in the diagram (right). These should be kept in mind throughout the survey cycle.

Why a bespoke approach is best

Our bespoke approachallows companies to implement surveys tailored to their unique culture and branding. This has proven to be invaluable in substantially boosting the response rate among respondents.

We have developed a methodology and online tool that you can use to help every level of your organisation to take action on survey results.
